Las Vegas is a world-class destination brimming with things to do. In fact, I don’t think I’ve ever been to a city that has more to do than Las Vegas. From theater shows to concerts, high-tech museums to natural landmarks, Las Vegas has got the “things to do” category on lock.
A lot of these activities are actually perfect for couples who are looking to have a date night! With hundreds upon hundreds of things to do and places to eat in Las Vegas, there really is no better place to have a date!
Papu and I are constantly torn between spending time visiting friends at their Las Vegas homes vs. ditching them to have date night and exploring all the new activities that have been popping up in Las Vegas on a near-monthly basis. At this point, we’ve found a good balance of the two and our trips to Vegas are a healthy mix of both!
Are you foodies? Opt for a guided food tour or take your pick of fancy restaurants to have a dinner date at.
Immersive art lovers? We recommend a show unlike any other at The Sphere or ARTE MUSEUM.
Looking to watch one of the high-production value shows that Las Vegas is famous for? You are spoiled with options… spoiled!

Be amazed by The Sphere show
If you’ve driven on the highways of Las Vegas, chances are you’ve seen The Sphere. The Sphere Experience is a two-part multi-sensory experience lasting approximately two hours. In all honesty, it’s two hours of immersive amazement.
It was even voted “2024’s Best Attraction” by Las Vegas Weekly readers! After seeing it for ourselves this summer, we’d 100% agree.
For the first 45 minutes of the experience, you’ll get to explore The Atrium. There’s a 360-degree avatar capture, a mesmerizing 50-foot holographic installation, some robots, and a few other cool tech features to interact with.
Then, you head into the theater for an immersive cinematic experience unlike anything you’ve ever seen — Darren Aronofsky’s ‘Postcard from Earth.’ This specially commissioned film is a sci-fi portrait of our planet, leveraging Sphere’s cutting-edge technologies to transport you to new worlds without ever leaving your seat.
Visit the ARTE MUSEUM
Experience nature and technology coming together at ARTE MUSEUM. The exhibition, called ‘ETERNAL NATURE’, uses different types of digital art to take you on a digitally-immersive journey. That’s a bunch of mumbo jumbo to describe how cool this museum is!
Even though nature and digital art might seem different, they actually have something in common: they both last forever. In this exhibition, you’ll see flowers that keep blooming thanks to special art technology, and you’ll feel the timeless beauty of nature through cool designs.
ARTE MUSEUM doesn’t stop at just visuals. You’ll be using your nose there too. Yup, there are actually scents tailored to each artwork that you get to experience while you’re here!
After exploring the museum for a few hours, you can head to the TEA BAR to enjoy sweet, tea-based mocktails.
Visit the Shark Reef Aquarium
If you and your partner are fans of sharks, stingrays, and other marine life, you can see more than 2,000 animals at the Shark Reef Aquarium. Gaze at the friendly creatures from inside the shipwreck or thrill your senses diving alongside the sharks at the Undersea Explorer VR Theater.
Want to take it up a notch? The aquarium offers add-on shark, sea turtle, and stingray feeding experiences.
Taste your way through Famous Foods Street Eats
Inspired by the energetic street markets of Southeast Asia, Famous Foods Street Eats inside Resorts World features a curated collection of pan-Asian eateries by award-winning chefs from around the globe.
Other reasons to dine at Resorts World? For dessert, you can get Junior’s, the renowned New York restaurant with the best cheesecake in the world, or Lady M, a luxury cake boutique from New York City known for its iconic crepe cakes!
Drive Exotic Cars Around The Speedway
Ever wanted to feel what it feels like to put the pedal to the metal in a Ferrari, Lamborghini, Porsche, or Corvette race car? Several companies in Las Vegas offer supercar driving experiences, allowing car lovers to take the wheel of high-end vehicles and race them around the track.
Exotics Racing and Dream Racing are both well-known companies that provide unbeatable supercar driving experiences. The experiences include classroom instruction, practice laps, and the opportunity to push the limits on the track!
Catch the Frank Sinatra Tribute Show
Frank Sinatra’s music just oozes romance, right? Well, Frankly Frank is a tribute show dedicated to the legendary Frank Sinatra.
The intimate performance, featuring tribute artist Gary Anthony, transports you back to the Sinatra era in Las Vegas, where glamour and entertainment reign supreme.
Held at the Pegasus Showroom in the Alexis Park All Suite Resort, this show promises an evening of elegance, raw talent, and the timeless melodies of the Rat Pack crooner.
Take a gondola ride at The Venetian
Head to The Grand Canal Shoppes at The Venetian to surprise your partner with a gondola ride, where you’ll be serenaded by your gondolier during the entire ride along the Grand Canal.
If a gondola ride is not the most romantic thing to do, then I don’t know what is! Only at The Venetian Resort can you go on gondola rides in true Venetian style without needing to fork up money to buy a plane ticket to Italy.
Watch a show (or two)
Las Vegas has a world-class theater scene. From burlesque to magic, Cirque de Soleil to comedy, there is a show for every type of person and every sort of budget. And the best part is, there’s a show happening every single night in Vegas.
A few shows that we think are perfect for a date night include:
Awakening – The Wynn’s brand-new spectacular production features fantastical creatures, dazzling visuals, a compelling narrative, and a touch of lighthearted comedy.
Absinthe – A little bit raunchy, a little bit comedic, and a whole lotta circus. Plus, it’s an award-winning show that’s been voted the “best show in Vegas” year after year!
“O” at Bellagio: Another mesmerizing Cirque du Soleil show, “O” combines water, acrobatics, and theatrical performances to create a unique and romantic experience.
You can browse the whole selection of Las Vegas shows here.
Pretend like you’re in Paris
For a wanderlust-themed date idea, you and your date can pretend like you’ve been transported to the romantic city of Paris… without leaving the Las Vegas Strip.
At Paris Las Vegas, you can experience a recreated version of the French capital that includes iconic landmarks like the Louvre, the L’Arc de Triomphe, and, of course, the Eiffel Tower.
The Eiffel Tower Experience offers a unique opportunity to ride up to the Observation Deck of their Eiffel Tower replica, providing gorgeous views of the city from 460 feet in the air. Guides at the top will help you identify major landmarks below.
Pair this experience with a romantic dinner at a French restaurant like the Eiffel Tower Restaurant, Marché Bacchus or Bouchon Bistro, and you’ll feel like you’ve spent a weekend in Paris without all the expense!
Get lost in Meow Wolf’s Omega Mart
Looking to do something really unique and almost out-of-this-world in Las Vegas for your date night? Then heading to AREA15 is a must.
While there are too many things to do at AREA15 to list here, we recommend heading to Meow Wolf’s super popular installation, Omega Mart. It’s like a rite of passage for anyone visiting AREA15!
Depending on how long you linger to take in all the crazy/quirky details, this experience will take you anywhere from 1 to 3 hours. Afterward, check out all the other cool exhibits, VR attractions, and food/drink options in the massive space.
Go to the Neon Museum
If you ever wondered where all the old Vegas signs have disappeared off to over the years, check out the Neon Museum, where you’ll find more than 200 of them gathered.
The Neon Boneyard is the main outdoor exhibition area where you can find a collection of over 200 vintage neon signs including those from old casinos, motels, and businesses.
It’s such a cute date spot as it provides a great backdrop for conversation. You can get lots of cute photos here with retro lit-up signage in the background. Who knows, maybe some will make it into a wedding or anniversary slideshow down the road!
Papu and I have done a date here ourselves!
Have high tea like the Brits do
After you’ve had a bit of fun exploring Las Vegas, you can plan for a late afternoon pick-me-up with some traditional English tea at the Tea Lounge at Waldorf Astoria Las Vegas.
Enjoy high-quality tea infusions alongside tasty scones and finger sandwiches, all while taking in sweeping views of the Strip from the 23rd floor.
See a comedy show
For couples who love to share laughs together, three of the best comedy club venues in Vegas are The Comedy Cellar at Rio, Brad Garrett’s Comedy Club at MGM Grand, and LA Comedy Club at The STRAT Hotel, Casino & SkyPod.
These comedy clubs have featured some of the biggest names in comedy, and it wouldn’t be out of the question for a famous comic to show up at a Valentine’s Day show!
Catch a steamy burlesque or revue show
Catching one of Vegas’ many “steamy”-themed shows could be a fun thing to do if you and your date want to turn the sexy up for the night!
Absinthe at Caesars Palace is a fun, daring, and edgy show that combines burlesque, acrobatics, and comedy in an intimate tent setting outside Caesars Palace. This is a lighthearted one, so you’ll get a side of laughs along with the sexy vibes.
ROUGE: The Sexiest Show in Vegas! is another good one for couples and groups of mixed genders! The show combines “sexpertise” with acrobats, aerialists, dancers, contortionists, comedians, hand balancers and more, while transporting audiences into a fully immersive sensual experience.
Soak in sky-high views of the Las Vegas Strip
Make your date night extra memorable by soaking in the sky-high views of the Las Vegas Strip with your sweetheart. Head to one of the city’s many fantastic observation centers for a unique perspective above the bustling cityscape.
The High Roller Observation Wheel at The LINQ, one of the world’s tallest wheels, provides unforgettable 360-degree views of the city. They offer an open bar package that allows you to enjoy unlimited drinks for the full 30-minute ride.
Enjoy Strip views with a side of thrill
If incorporating views into your date night sounds like the way to go but you want a little something more, another great option is to head to the observation tower at The STRAT. The SkyPod here is what makes it so much fun. You can ride some really crazy, adrenaline-pumping rides there!
Big Shot shoots you 160 feet into the air at 45 mph, while X-Scream teeter-totters you over the Tower’s edge from a dizzying height of 866 feet.
Have drinks at a rooftop bar
While we’re on the topic of panoramic views, if a night of drinking is what you’re after, you can elevate your night at Skyfall Panoramic Bar & Lounge, located on the 64th floor of Delano Las Vegas.
They also serve small bites, so you’re able to linger a bit longer while soaking in the amazing Strip views.
LIFTOFF at AREA15
If panoramic views from behind a glass window are simply not enough for you and your honey, we want to invite you to try LIFTOFF at AREA15.
LIFTOFF is a panoramic ride and aerial adventure inspired by aeronauts. Toast to the night with specialty libations at the LIFTOFF Lounge before ascending 130 feet high in an open-air balloon ride, offering a 360-degree view of the Las Vegas Strip and beyond.
You can even drink on the ride! Don’t worry, your drinks won’t fly all over the place — this is a slow-moving observation tower-type ride. The whole journey takes about seven minutes.
Ride roller coasters at the Adventuredome
The Adventuredome at Circus Circus is one of the largest indoor theme parks in the country. Spanning 5 acres, it offers more than 25 rides and attractions, including roller coasters, thrill rides, mini golf, rock climbing, a laser challenge, and more.
If it happens to be raining in Vegas, this indoor theme park is the place to be for unstoppable thrills.
Afterward, head to The Midway inside Circus Circus for classic carnival games, state-of-the-art video games, and prizes, prizes, prizes!
Soar above the Strip in a helicopter
If you happen to look up into the sky during any given hour, chances are you’ll see a helicopter or two above you. Las Vegas Strip helicopter flights (especially the night flights) are a super popular activity for people who want to elevate their Las Vegas experience.
It’s a fun, over-the-top way to experience the bright lights of the Las Vegas Strip with your babe.
While helicopter tours are quite popular, they are by no means cheap! Your average 15-minute flight will set you back about $100 per person (at retail value). But hey, you won’t have to deal with traffic from way up there, which is a win in our book.
Indulge in a buffet
They say the way to the heart is through the stomach, do they not?
Save your stomach for one (or two) epic meals while you’re in Vegas. Some of our favorite buffets include The Buffet at Wynn Las Vegas and Bacchanal at Caesar’s Palace. Unlimited crab legs and all-you-can-drink mimosas? We’re so there.
And if you like things like lobster tails and oysters, check out the menus of various buffets! Some have special days when these items are offered. For example, you’ll find lobster at AYCE Buffet (Palms) and raw oysters at Buffet Restaurant (Bellagio).
You can discover all the best seafood buffets in Las Vegas here.
Looking for top-notch prime rib instead? While most buffets offer prime rib, none of them do it well. Check out these top restaurants for prime rib instead.
Have a fancy dinner date
For a classic romantic date in Las Vegas, I recommend snagging reservations at a fancy restaurant and splurging on a fancy lunch or dinner. If you didn’t already know, Vegas is a mecca for all kinds of restaurants.
Here are some of the most date-worthy options on the Las Vegas Strip:
Mizumi at The Wynn ($$$$) – At Mizumi, you and your date will be transported to Japan instantly. You’ll get to sit alongside a koi pond and a 90-foot waterfall while feasting on Japanese-inspired fine dining.
Hugo’s Cellar at the Four Queens ($$$$) – Because every woman gets a rose when they dine at Hugo’s Cellar, you already know this is a spot in Las Vegas meant for couples! This old-school restaurant (from 1966) features traditional table-side salads from a cart and is well known for their steaks and seafood tower. Don’t miss the Bananas Foster dessert!
Eiffel Tower Restaurant at Paris Las Vegas ($$$$) – Consistently named one of the most romantic restaurants in the country by many news outlets.
Top Of The World at the Strat ($$$$) – Enjoy not only a delicious meal but also panoramic vistas of the city lights.
Nobu at Caesars Palace ($$$) – Feast on imported Japanese fish, seafood and exotic delicacies. There’s also vegan, vegetarian and gluten-free options.
Bavette’s Steakhouse in Park MGM ($$$) – The steaks are the main attraction at this steakhouse, but the restaurant has a bit of French flair too. It’s a romantic place to dine due to the dimmed lights, creating a calm (and seductive) mood that’s welcome on any date.
Primarily Prime Rib at South Point ($$) – Indulge in mouthwatering prime rib in a cozy atmosphere.
PRO TIP: Make sure to secure a reservation WELL in advance, especially if you choose a fancier restaurant. Typically, the fancier it is, the harder it is to get reservations.
Marriage Can Be Murder Dinner Show
For couples who love murder mysteries, interactive dinners, and/or immersive experiences in general, we’ve got JUST the thing for you!
Marriage Can Be Murder is an award-winning interactive comedy and murder mystery dinner experience where the audience members become part of the show. If you liked the movie Glass Onion or the game of Clue, then this is a dinner show that you won’t want to pass up.
Anyone can be a suspect as actors could easily be posting as one of the seemingly innocent guests among you. You might be seated next to the murderer, YOU may even be suspected of murder, but only time will tell as the night unravels and more clues are revealed.
Get ready to be part of the story as you chow down on your salad, warm rolls, a chicken or beef entree, and ice cream dessert.
Get a couples massage
You cannot come to Las Vegas for romance without hitting the spa at least once. And with so many high-end hotels here, you are spoiled with choice when it comes to world-class spa treatments.
The top three in our book are:
Qua Baths & Spa at Caesars Palace: Qua Baths & Spa offers an opulent spa with Roman-inspired treatments including an Arctic Ice room. They also offer romantic packages, including the “Couples’ Escape” for a shared spa experience.
Sahra Spa & Hammam at The Cosmopolitan of Las Vegas: A luxurious and modern hammam (Turkish bath) experience. Look for special romantic packages designed for couples seeking an intimate spa retreat.
Canyon Ranch Spa at The Venetian: This award-winning spa lets couples book side-by-side massages or enjoy the Aquavana thermal suite together.
We recommend booking your accommodation at the hotel with the spa you like best. That way, you have easy access to your room after your treatment so you can continue your relaxation without much effort at all.
Try Dining in the Dark
For the adventurous couples or first-daters who want to test their five senses, and fill their bellies, there’s BLACKOUT Dining In The Dark!
BLACKOUT Dining in the Dark turns the traditional fine dining experience into an anything-but-traditional all-out sensory experience. You’ll basically be eating in pitch-black darkness!
Phones, flashlights or light of any sort aren’t allowed. But that’s what allows your other senses to take the lead and really explore and indulge in your seven-course prix-fixe meal.
Eat with your hands at Tournament of Kings
Goofy couples who can be entertained by medieval princes, loud cheering, horses, jousting, and eating with your hands will have a ball at the Tournament of Kings dinner show.
Set in a 900-seat theater-in-the-round arena, your night will come alive with the clash of swords, the thundering hooves of horses, and the cheers of the audience. As knights engage in epic battles, you’ll be transported back to a world of knights, damsels, and medieval splendor.
I’m a huge fan of fantasy and Renaissance faires, so this type of activity is so up my alley (Papu is just forced into it by association). If you find this lame or your date is high maintenance, you might want to skip this one!
Play unlimited arcade games at Game Nest
Whenever Papu and I are in town, we always make time to spend a few hours at Game Nest Arcade. Game Nest is a pay-by-the-hour arcade. You pay one fixed price and get hours of unlimited gameplay at top arcade games!
If you love overpriced arcade games (like Dance Dance Revolution, Time Crisis, Mario Kart, Air Hockey, Jurassic Park, etc.), then head here to play until you just can’t play anymore. Everything is on free play, so once you’re in, you can play whatever you like.
They also have an area where you can plan Xbox One, PS5, and Nintendo Switch (all of which are also included in the hourly price).
Explore Downtown Container Park
For a casual date night off the Strip, head to Downtown Container Park, an open-air shopping center filled with boutique retail shops, various restaurants, and live entertainment– located in the heart of Las Vegas! Architecturally, this spot’s pretty unique as shipping containers have been turned into shops and restaurants.
Oh yeah, there is also a giant praying mantis that shoots out flames at the entrance (nighttime only)!
Go on a walking food tour
Can’t decide on just one or two restaurants to take your date for the night? We get it, there’s almost TOO much good food in Vegas!
Well, how about a food tour that hits multiple spots instead?
In Vegas, you’ll find a handful of food tours that will take you to hole-in-the-walls, restaurants on the strip, off the strip, and so much more. For an experience that touches on the most sought-after restaurants on the Las Vegas Strip, Secret Food Tours Las Vegas is great.
For hidden gems, hole-in-the-walls, and secret local hangouts, go with the Downtown Vegas Sightseeing and Foodie Tour.
Eat your way through Eataly
Eataly is an Italian marketplace and restaurant complex located within Park MGM Las Vegas that is a complete foodie’s paradise. It’s even been called a gastronomic theme park for foodies!
At Eataly, you’ll find several different restaurants, including a pizza/pasta bar, a seafood-focused restaurant, a wine bar, a coffee and pastries shop, and authentic gelato! You can even shop for high-quality Italian ingredients and products to take home.
Whenever Papu and I need to book a room on the Strip, Park MGM is top of mind for us… because of Eataly. We love eating here so much!
Have drinks at an ice bar
Beat the heat at minus5 Ice Bar, a winter wonderland of 100 tons of custom-carved ice, complete with drinking glasses, walls, seats, and sculptures made of ice. This is the one place where your beer actually gets colder as you drink it!
There are locations at The LINQ, The Venetian, and Mandalay Bay.
Enjoy drinks at a cute cocktail bar
Vegas is the land of over-the-top cocktail bars. You can grab a drink almost anywhere, but you’re going to be on a date so not every bar is going to cut it!
For a bar that’ll wow you with drink presentations, check out Resorts World’s Gatsby’s.
We also love Easy’s (at ARIA) for their old-school jazzy New Orleans vibe and their live music!
Be an Instagram-BF or GF at the Museum of Selfies
The Museum of Selfies originally made its mark in Southern California. It now brings its flair to the Las Vegas Strip!
This interactive exhibit is perfect for teenagers, photo enthusiasts, and the social media obsessed. Nestled in the entertainment hub of the LINQ Promenade, this “museum” offers a ton of playful and quirky backdrops for what will end up being your most memorable pics.
Dive into a shimmering gold bathtub, make waves in an emoji-filled pool, jet-set in a private plane, or flip the world upside down in a gravity-defying room. You’ll definitely want to throw on some cute clothes — and bring a camera!
Watch the free water fountain show at Bellagio
Bellagio’s famous free water fountain show is a must for first-timers. If you and your partner haven’t seen it yet take some time to see it for yourself at least once. This free water show features lights and music (genres include classical, opera, Broadway, and even pop songs) to give visitors a quintessentially Vegas experience.
The fountain show runs every half hour during the day and every 15 minutes in the evening. We recommend catching it in the evening for an extra-romantic experience!
From there, head into Bellagio to see the beautiful Bellagio Conservatory & Botanical Gardens, featuring larger-than-life floral displays that change seasonally.
Enjoy the rugged landscapes at Red Rock Canyon
Located only 17 miles from the Strip, Red Rock Canyon National Conservation Area is the perfect outdoor excursion for couples who want to get away from the hustle and bustle of Las Vegas just for a little bit.
Red Rock Canyon features a one-way 13-mile scenic drive (a must-do) as well as short hiking trails that you can easily tackle in an hour or two. In the summertime, you’ll want to start early or keep your hikes short and sweet. The summer heat is brutal!
Want to enjoy nature without having to worry about driving or planning? Opt for a half-day guided tour with a personal adventure tour guide. That way, you and your date can just worry about spending quality time together.
Want to take it up a notch? Skip the hiking and take your very own CanAm Ryker to the outskirts of Las Vegas and through the wonderful, majestic Red Rock Canyon:
Take a hot air balloon ride over the Pahrump Valley
Looking for an over-the-top date idea in Vegas? Book a sunrise hot air balloon ride and be the envy of all the other couples you know!
On this sunrise ride, you’ll fly over the Pahrump Valley and soar as high as 10,000 feet, enjoying a bird’s-eye view of the open desert and mountain scenery that not many get to experience.
Fair warning though — you should sleep early the night before. You’ll need to start your adventure at 3:30 AM in order to witness the epic sunrise views though!
