We are big fans of The LINQ for a lot of reasons.

The first? It’s not old and crusty like some of the other hotels in Las Vegas! In 2015, the former Imperial Palace Hotel transformed into the slick, modern hotel that we see today — The LINQ Hotel — following a $230-million, nearly 3-year renovation.

Secondly, it’s a pretty big bang for your buck. Located on the Las Vegas Strip by hotspots like The Venetian, Caesars, Bellagio, and Paris Las Vegas, The LINQ is both convenient and budget-friendly, perfect for those of you just looking for an affordable place to lay your head.

While we have yet to spend a night at The LINQ (we have too many other favorite hotels!), we’ve definitely gone to The LINQ for the casual food options and the fun activities!

Honestly, I don’t think there’s any hotel on the Strip that’s home to as many fun activities and shows as The LINQ is.

While the hotel is cool to walk through, the Promenade is where it’s at. Positioned between The LINQ Hotel and Flamingo Las Vegas, The LINQ Promenade is a pedestrian-friendly district featuring over 30 unique retail, dining, nightlife, and entertainment venues.

Here’s everything worth doing at The LINQ Hotel + Promenade.

What’s Around The LINQ?

To the west: Caesars Palace Hotel and Casino — To the north: Harrah’s Las Vegas and The Venetian Resort Las Vegas — To the south: Flamingo Las Vegas

Catch the best comedians at Jimmy Kimmel’s Comedy Club

Comedy shows are a great way to get some live entertainment while spending way less money compared to a typical Las Vegas show.

Jimmy Kimmel’s Comedy Club is the epitome of laughter and entertainment in Las Vegas! This premier venue, curated by the comedic genius himself, brings together the brightest stars in stand-up comedy, alongside emerging talents from across the nation.

We’ve been to many comedy shows in Los Angeles, San Francisco, etc., and the one thing we DON’T look forward to is the 2-drink minimum policy. It makes you spend way more than you intend to.

The amazing thing about Jimmy Kimmel’s Comedy Club is that there are NO minimum drink/food requirements. You can just sit down and enjoy the show!

Be wowed at Mat Franco’s magic show

Mat Franco Magic Reinvented Las Vegas

Mat Franco seems like an approachable dude — he just happens to take center stage at The LINQ with a super creative magic show. Aka “the magician who changed the game”, his show has been hailed as the top show in town by Forbes.

While “superstar” magicians like David Copperfield and Criss Angel focus on grand stunts and illusions, Mat Franco’s show features a blend of innovative, close-up magic and comedy, with a strong emphasis on card tricks and audience interaction.

As the first magician to win America’s Got Talent, this guy brings a fresh perspective to the genre of magic, leaving audiences awe-struck every night he’s on stage.

Dance along with performers at DiscoShow

Get ready to party like it’s 1977. Step back in time to the groovy era of the 1970s with DiscoShow, a dance party celebration of disco music and culture. Inspired by David Mancuso’s legendary loft parties in New York City, this immersive experience invites you to dance the night away in the Glitterloft alongside iconic characters from the disco era.

For those of you who are tired of paying hundreds of dollars just to sit in your seat during a whole Las Vegas production, this is easily the #1 show you need to consider.

DiscoShow is unlike any other show we’ve come across worldwide. Why? Because unlike traditional theater experiences, there is no seating at the venue. DiscoShow encourages active participation from its audience, inviting you to stand, move, and dance throughout the 70-minute show.

VR Adventures at The LINQ Promenade

VR Adventures is one of those attractions that’ll get teens, games, and tech lovers excited.

Unlike other video games, VR Adventures requires gamers to use hand movement, walk, sidestep, or jump to explore or fly through the virtual world. And they have six different experiences to choose from!

Feel the rush as you brave the rapids of the Jungle River Raft, or explore spine-tingling encounters in the Haunted Elevator. Strap in for a wild roller coaster ride, take a virtual trip around the world, or satisfy your need for speed with the Racecar Simulator. And if you’re up for a challenge, test your survival skills in the heart-pounding Zombieland adventure.

PRO TIP: You can buy the experience for full price, OR you can get yourself a Las Vegas attraction pass if you plan on doing other activities in Las Vegas. The Go City attraction can really save you some money here! With the Go City Las Vegas Explorer Pass, you get access to 1 VR Experience.

Take a spin on the High Roller Observation Wheel

If you’re a fan of aerial views, make your trip to Vegas extra memorable by soaking in the sky-high views of the Las Vegas Strip with your friends. One of the best spots to get sky-high viewpoints of the Las Vegas Strip is on the High Roller.

The High Roller Observation Wheel at The LINQ, one of the world’s tallest wheels, provides unforgettable 360-degree views of the city.

Don’t want to do it sober? They offer an open bar package that allows you to enjoy unlimited drinks for the full 30-minute ride.

PRO TIP: This attraction is included with Go City’s digital passes! It’s available on both the All-Inclusive Pass and the Explorer Pass.

Zipline on Fly LINQ

Fly LINQ is all about speed, heights, and the unbeatable views of the famous Las Vegas Strip. See, what did we tell you about The LINQ being home to some really cool attractions???

Developed by the same brilliant minds behind The High Roller Observation Wheel, Fly LINQ boasts not one, not two, but a whopping TEN side-by-side ziplines, so you and your pals can launch into the Vegas skyline at the same time!

To sum it up: 10 ziplines, each 1,121 feet long, launching from a height of 114 feet, and cruising at an average speed of 35 MPH. Your actual flight time? A heart-pounding 35 to 45 seconds of pure Vegas thrill.

PRO TIP: This attraction is included with Go City’s digital passes! It’s available on both the All-Inclusive Pass and the Explorer Pass.

Take all the selfies at the Museum of Selfies

The Museum of Selfies originally made its mark in Southern California — it now brings its style to the Las Vegas Strip!

This interactive exhibit is perfect for teenagers, photo enthusiasts, and the social media obsessed. Nestled in the entertainment hub of the LINQ Promenade, this “museum” offers a ton of playful and quirky backdrops for what will end up being your most memorable pics.

Dive into a shimmering gold bathtub, make waves in an emoji-filled pool, jet-set in a private plane, or flip the world upside down in a gravity-defying room. You’ll definitely want to bring a camera!

Take a dip and hang out at Influence

Influence, The POOL at The LINQ, is one of Las Vegas’ more laidback and chill party pools (21+).

Offering upbeat music by DJs, life-sized games, beer pong, yummy food, and cocktails, this is where you’ll want to spend your daytime hours if you’re a guest at the hotel (or even just nearby!). They even let you bring pool floats and toys into the pool!

Enjoy one of the many complimentary loungers or upgrade to one of the awesome rental options – the choice is yours. Half-day and full-day cabana or daybed rentals are available. They also have lily pad daybeds and submerged lounge chairs to choose from.

There are DJs 5 days a week, from Thursday to Monday during pool season (April to October).

Yes, it’s no Encore Beach Club, but it’s also much cheaper to get a cabana/daybed compared to a majority of other hotels on the Strip. Drinks on the other hand? Still expensive. After all, you’re still at a casino resort pool on the Strip.

PRO TIP: If you’re visiting with a large group over the weekend, you can book the air-conditioned REQ room. It’s essentially one giant cabana!

Try Gordon Ramsey’s famed fish & chips

There’s only one place to get perfectly fried fish & chips on the Las Vegas Strip. Not surprisingly, it comes from world-class chef and television star, Gordon Ramsay!

To get a taste of his fish & chips, head to The LINQ Promenade for your fast-casual meal, no reservations required.

You can also enjoy other fried favorites including shrimp, chicken and sausage. If you want it all, ask for the G Spot (their secret combo), which comes with fish, chicken and shrimp together.

But this isn’t the only Gordon Ramsey signature here! If you’ve ever watched Gordon Ramsay on TV or have had his sticky toffee pudding for yourself, you know it’s a big deal. You can find it in some fun forms at Fish & Chips. Try a sticky toffee pudding pop or a sticky toffee milkshake!

PRO TIP: If you’re open to venturing off-Strip for fish & chips, we like McMullan’s Irish Pub and The Codfather too!

Have a morning brunch at Hash House A Go Go

Hash House A Go Go is the ultimate breakfast (or early lunch) haven for those looking to start their day with a hearty feast. If you’re rolling with a large group or your family, this is the breakfast spot for you.

Now, fair warning, the prices might not LOOK like your bargain breakfast deal, but trust me, the huge portions make up for the price. Even though the prices might be a tad higher for a breakfast joint (think $20+ per entree), the amount of food you get on your plate easily makes up for it. One entree could easily feed 2-3 people.

Two of their iconic dishes include the chicken and waffles and griddled French toast — I’m a big fan of the chicken and waffles!

Get a taste of Guy Fieri-style cuisine

Guy Fieri’s Vegas Kitchen & Bar offers guests a taste of his signature cuisine. You’re guaranteed bold flavors (it’s Flavortown, duh) and unique twists on traditional dishes. Expect American favorites like burgers, wings, tacos, small bites, and other shareable food items.

Want to make sure you’re in a food coma by the time you step out of there? Try the trash can nachos.

Challenge strangers to beer pong at O’Shea’s Irish Pub

For some classic pub fun mixed with all the casino vibes, stop by O’Sheas while you’re exploring The LINQ. Set up as a pass-through to get to the main casino of The LINQ, it’s an entertaining and often busy spot!

Capturing the charm of the original party pub and pushing it into the modern era, O’Sheas has a super social environment to make it an entertaining time. There are actually things to do, so you won’t just be sitting there drinking!

Fancy a game of beer pong? Round up your friends or make new ones with a friendly game of beer pong. How about table games instead? O’Sheas features table games inside the pub area like blackjack and roulette.

During special events like March Madness and St. Patrick’s Day, O’Shea’s becomes a zoo!

PRO TIP: If you have a Caesar’s Rewards player’s card, be sure to get credit for all the drinks you get! The tab can add up fast, so you should be able to get lots of points for your drinking / beer pong efforts.

Catch a rock show (or a dance party) at the Brooklyn Bowl

The Brooklyn Bowl is part restaurant, part bowling alley, and part events venue.

This venue combines the best of food and music for a casual yet unforgettable night. Where else can you sink your teeth into legendary fried chicken and Southern favorites (like catfish bites and deep-fried pickles) while enjoying top-notch acts on stage?

With rock concerts galore and themed dance nights celebrating everything from emo music, Taylor Swift, K-pop, 2000s, and ’90s hits, there’s always something exciting happening at the venue! Personally, we love it when Emo Nite is in town and holds their event here.

Most of the concerts held here are rock-centric, but not necessarily hard rock. You’ll find punk rock, pop punk, and pop rock mixed in with the occasional hard rock performance. If there’s not an event happening that night, why not take your night to the next level by booking a bowling lane for your group?

Beat the heat at ICE BAR

minus5 at The LINQ

Beat the heat at minus5 Ice Bar, a super cool concept of a bar made of 100 tons of custom-carved ice. It’s basically a massive igloo complete with drinking glasses, walls, seats, and sculptures made of ice.

Ice Bar is a ton of fun when it comes to photos because they give you fur coats to stay warm (and cute) while you’re in the bar. These fur coats are going to be perfect for your Vegas IG posts.

There are locations at The LINQ, The Venetian, and Mandalay Bay.

Frequently Asked Questions

Is The LINQ a nice hotel to stay at?

The LINQ Hotel + Experience is one of the few budget-friendly hotels we’d recommend people stay at.

You’ll find approachable, fun, and modern accommodations, with a total of 2,253 guest rooms including Deluxe Poolside Cabana Rooms and Bunk Bed Deluxe Rooms. We love that it’s steps away from The LINQ Promenade – the open-air entertainment, retail and dining district.

If you’re looking for the convenience of staying on the Strip while also being mindful of your budget, The LINQ is a really strong option. However, if you’re looking for a more upscale 4- to 5-star experience, you should consider a few other hotels before choosing this one.

Also, note that The LINQ is a smoking-allowed hotel, which is one reason that makes us choose other hotels over it. For a smoke-free stay, we recommend Park MGM (our favorite budget-friendly option on the Strip!).

Are the rooms at The LINQ old?

No, the rooms at The LINQ are not old. With the last major renovation in 2015, the rooms are far from feeling old and outdated!
