Planning a trip to Las Vegas can be so exciting—bright lights, world-class entertainment, and a chance to walk, eat, and party on the iconic Las Vegas Strip.
But if you’ve started researching hotels, you’ve probably found yourself a great rate at $30-50 per night, only to realize at checkout they’ve tacked on an additional $50 per night for the “resort fee”. UGH.
What does this resort fee cover anyway? The swimming pool? It’s so frustrating, but we totally get it. We hate ’em too.
The good news is that not every hotel in Las Vegas charges these pesky fees. We’ve done the legwork to find the best hotels on and off the Strip that don’t charge resort fees, so you can enjoy your stay without those unexpected costs.
This guide is broken down into two sections — (click to jump to the section)
- Hotels that don’t charge resort fees + offer free parking (the best of both worlds!)

Which no resort fee hotel is best if I want to be close to the Strip?
You have two great options here: Casino Royale or Jockey Club.
Casino Royale is directly next to The Venetian and Harrah’s Las Vegas is right across the street. Just a quick stroll from Casino Royale is The LINQ and its sprawling outdoor shopping, dining, and entertainment district (with the High Roller observation wheel, Fly LINQ zipline, restaurants, and bars).
Jockey Club is located next to The Cosmopolitan and Bellagio, both of which are super fun to stroll through and explore. A short walk away is ARIA, home to the Shops at Crystals, lots of high-end restaurants, and immersive art installations. Just across the street, Planet Hollywood offers good shopping (at Miracle Mile Shops) and budget-friendly shows.
Which no resort fee hotel is best if I want to be close to Fremont Street?
Four Queens is the only Vegas hotel without resort fees that we approve of near Fremont Street. Other options are way dumpier and not worth your time. If you’re planning on doing some cheap gambling, enjoying happy hours and cheap drink specials, or checking out the Fremont Street Experience while you’re in Vegas, this is where you should stay.
