What You Need To Know

The Mob Museum, situated in downtown Las Vegas, offers an immersive experience of the fascinating history of organized crime, shedding light on its impact locally and globally.

During your visit, you’ll witness authentic artifacts, including the actual courtroom from the Kefauver hearings and the bullet-ridden brick wall from the infamous Valentine’s Day Massacre. You’ll also get to explore wire-tapping stations, FBI firearms training simulators, and an intriguing Prohibition-era speakeasy in The Underground.

The speakeasy is especially unique, as it’s surrounded by artifacts from the 1920s. Prohibition made it illegal to brew beer or distill liquor, so America’s unquenched thirst for alcohol demanded an underworld solution. The Mob filled the void, smuggling spirits into the country and producing moonshine from hidden stills.

The Underground speakeasy allows you to experience Prohibition-era cocktails while learning about the Prohibition times.

Enhance your Mob Museum experience with interactive exhibits, including the Crime Lab, a 25-minute exploration of forensic science; the Distillery Tour and Tasting, offering insights into Prohibition-era drinking culture; and the Firearm Training Simulator, providing an immersive experience of law enforcement decision-making scenarios.

All in all, the museum provides a comprehensive look into the world of mobsters and the law enforcement efforts that brought them down. For those interested in the backstory and behind-the-scenes facts, audio tours are available for a small fee.

With so much to learn, this is a must-visit for those intrigued by the cultural and historical aspects of the mob.
