The Empire Strips Back is here in Las Vegas, at last! The classic characters are dropped into the world of burlesque. Comedy and striptease, loving detail and hilarious parody. Let us deliver you to the dark side.
If you’ve been around cities like New York, San Francisco, or even Austin in recent years, chances are you’ve spotted The Empire Strips Back on a flyer or Instagram ad and thought, “Wait, is that a Star Wars burlesque show?” Yes. Yes, it is.
And now, as of May 2025, it’s finally landed in the one city it always should’ve called home: Las Vegas.
This cheeky, irreverent, and surprisingly high-production parody blends classic burlesque with deep-cut Star Wars fandom. You’ll see sultry Stormtroopers, a show-stopping Boba Fett, and a glam Leia channeling her inner cabaret star. There’s a surprising amount of detail and care in the costuming, staging, and references, but don’t expect canon accuracy—this is full-on camp, with a wink and plenty of glitter.
If you’re a fan of the galaxy far, far away and you’ve got a sense of humor, The Empire Strips Back is exactly the kind of weird, fun night out that feels very Vegas.
